Frequently Asked Questions
- Does the Jaecoo warranty transfer if I sell my car?
Yes, the remaining warranty transfers to the new owner as long as the vehicle was originally purchased from an authorised Jaecoo dealer and has been serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Can I service my vehicle at an independent mechanic and keep my warranty?
While you can service your vehicle outside an authorised Jaecoo dealership, the service provider must adhere to manufacturer specifications and provide detailed invoices. Using non-genuine parts or failing to document services correctly may affect your warranty coverage.
- What if my dealer recommends replacing a consumable item?
Items such as brake pads, wiper blades, filters, and batteries are considered consumables and are not covered under warranty. Dealers assess their condition based on wear and driving conditions.
- Are tyres included in the Jaecoo warranty?
No, tyres are covered separately under the manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty. Any tyre-related claims should be directed to the tyre supplier.
- What is not covered by the Jaecoo warranty?
The warranty does not cover wear-and-tear items, maintenance services, damage from accidents, misuse, aftermarket modifications, or failure to follow scheduled servicing requirements.
- Where can I find details about what my warranty covers?
Your vehicle’s Warranty Handbook contains full details on coverage. You can also contact an authorised Jaecoo dealer for further information.
- Does towing a caravan or trailer affect my warranty?
Towing within the legal weight limits does not void your warranty. However, frequent towing may require additional servicing to maintain vehicle performance. Refer to the vehicle owner's manual for towing specifications if eligible for towing. Towing over the legal limits or exceeding the limits specified by Jaecoo may void your warranty.
- Is accident damage covered under the Jaecoo warranty?
No, the warranty only covers manufacturer defects. Any damage caused by accidents, external factors, or environmental conditions is not covered.
- Will modifying my vehicle impact my warranty?
If a modification causes or contributes to a failure, it may void warranty coverage for the affected component. Jaecoo does not cover third-party modifications or aftermarket parts.
- Are out-of-pocket costs like accommodation, travel, or business losses covered by the warranty?
No, the Jaecoo warranty only covers repair or replacement of faulty parts. Incidental costs such as accommodation, transport, or loss of income are not included.
- Do I have to take my vehicle to an authorised Jaecoo dealer for warranty repairs?
Yes, all warranty-related work must be carried out by an authorised Omoda Jaecoo dealership to maintain warranty compliance.
- What should I do if I experience a problem during the warranty period?
If you notice an issue, book an inspection with an authorised Omoda Jaecoo dealer. Warranty claims must be assessed by an Omoda Jaecoo-trained technician before approval.
- Can I request a loan car if my vehicle is in for warranty repairs?
Some dealers offer loan cars or courtesy transport, but this depends on availability and may involve additional costs. It’s best to confirm this when booking your service or warranty appointment.
- Does converting my Omoda Jaecoo vehicle to LPG or making engine modifications void the warranty?
Any aftermarket engine conversion or modification that impacts the vehicle’s original components may void warranty coverage. Omoda Jaecoo does not cover third-party alterations.
